That second 604C in the ad doesn't look that good. Great cabinets but I'd be worried about what that second speaker went through.....

Me too. You don't see the paint peeling like that too often.I'm thinking they may have been submerged in water at one time. Dunno but anything is possible I suppose.

I've seen peeling paint before, by itself not an issue, but yes, may be a sign if something else. In person inspection is called for.

I do not think they have been underwater. No rust, no stains in the wood.

FWIW, that paint peeling appears to be the result of poor adhesion/surface treatment. I'd wager that motor pot missed out on a de-greasing/cleaning step along the way.

If the cone part numbers are not apparent you MUST ask for them.

There's a number visible on the one with peeling paint. Can't make out what it is, but it doesn't look like 20598.
